Who we are
Literary Influences Can't Kill is a podcast made by John and Alexandr. Questions about anything on this page go to outside@lickpod.com.
The newsletter
If you put your email address in the Letters box, we store it in a private Google Sheet that only the two of us can open. We use it to send the letter and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it, or add it to any other list. To come off the list, reply to any letter or write to outside@lickpod.com, and we delete the row.
Book pitches
The pitch form asks for the book, the author, and why we should read it. Your name and email are optional. What you send goes into the same private sheet, and a copy is emailed to us. If you gave an email address, we may use it to reply about your pitch. Ask and we delete it.
Counting visits
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies and do not follow you to other sites. We see totals, such as how many people read the chapters page this week, not who you are.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It keeps one flag in your browser's session storage so the opening animation plays once per visit rather than on every page. It is gone when you close the tab.
Where things live
The site is hosted by Vercel and the sheet lives in our Google Workspace account. Both keep ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, for security, under their own policies. The hosts' photos are served from a private Google Drive folder through this site; nothing about you is sent to Drive. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Linktree take you to those companies, and their rules apply there.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to outside@lickpod.com and we do it within a month, usually much sooner. Nothing we hold is used for advertising or for automated decisions about you.
Children
The show is for adults and older teenagers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If a child has signed up, tell us and we remove them.
Changes
If these words change, the date at the top changes with them. Anything that matters gets a line in the letter as well.
