Hello. I am John. I find it hard to write bios, especially for creative endeavours, because I never know what someone is looking for when reading about me. I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy, with a sprinkle of philosophy when I can stomach it. The Red Rising series by Pierce Brown is my favourite. Runners-up for that award go to The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss, the Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch, The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, and Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. If you couldn't guess the theme, I love reading authors who can't finish a damn book (notable exception being the former Mormon).

I enjoy philosophy as well, with Kafka, Tolstoy and Erich Fromm at the top of my list. I have been very partial to the works of the Frankfurt School, but that is mainly because whenever I run out of books from one author there, I look up “Frankfurt School authors” and choose another one. If you have a better opinion about anything I say, you are probably right, but who has the podcast mic? Yeah, yeah. What? Say something.
